Henchmen Labs

Every good game needs a few henchmen.

Henchmen Labs is an independent game studio in Sri Lanka. We design, develop and publish our own mobile games, browser games and the websites that bring players to them.

What we make

Three kinds of work, all done in-house. Most of what we build, we also publish and run ourselves.

  • Mobile games

Casual and puzzle games for iPhone, iPad and Android, made to be picked up in a queue and kept for months. We look after the store listings, updates and tuning after launch.

    • App Store
    • Google Play

  • Browser games

HTML5 games that load in seconds and play on any phone, tablet or laptop. No download and no install, just a link.

    • HTML5
    • Desktop and mobile web

  • Game websites

Fast, well-organised game portals with clean categories and a steady supply of new titles. We build them, host them and use the same sites to publish our own games.

How we work

We develop and publish under one roof, so a game goes from first idea to players without changing hands.

  1. Plan the scheme

Every game starts as a small idea we can test quickly. If it isn't fun as a rough prototype, it doesn't get built.

  2. Build it in-house

Design, art, code and sound come from the same crew, so nothing gets lost in a handoff.

  3. Publish it ourselves

We release on the App Store, Google Play and the web under our own name, and we own every listing.

  4. Keep it running

After launch we watch how people play, fix what feels rough and add what players ask for.

The studio

Henchmen Labs was founded by P. Chamara in Athurugiriya, on the eastern edge of Colombo.

We stay independent so we can make the games we want to play. Publishing them ourselves means we answer to players, and we hear quickly when something needs fixing.

Every title is built to run well on the phones and connections people actually have, from a budget Android handset to a laptop on café Wi-Fi.
